Haze weather, environment and energy: The strategies of HVAC industry

In the light of the frequent occurrence of haze weather, analyses the serious energy and environment situation faced with China based on environment situation reports and economic data and energy consumption data issued by the authority departments. Points out that with rapid development of economy, the coal-based energy consumption pattern, the second industrial structure of heavy industry dominated and the low efficiency of energy utilization and serious waste, lead to serious damage of natural ecological environment and depletion of fossil energy in China. States that different countermeasures should be taken to carbon emission and haze pollution, that environmental pollution control should be more stressed when carbon emission is focused, and that the fundamental way of realizing sustainable development in China is to speed up the industrial updating, economic transition and the tertiary industry’s development and to replace the coal fossil fuel with new energy of high efficiency, zero pollution and low emission. Good indoor environment cannot be obtained without good outdoor atmospheric environment. Presents five strategies coping with the haze weather. Indicates that the HVAC industry should take an active part in atmospheric integrated control utilizing its uniquely owned advantages.
